  • Is the Cavapoo a good choice for a family dog or for senior citizens?
The mixture of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle results in a people-oriented dog that develops strong bonds with their families and wants to be included in all family activities. You will never feel lonely when a Cavapoos is about. Cavapoos love kids both large and small. They get along well with other animals in the house and when grandma and grandpa visit, they love their human grandparents too!
  • Are Cavapoos hyperactive dogs that bark a lot?
No, Cavapoos are not considered hyperactive and are not known to be excessive barkers under normal environmental conditions. It is common for my clients to say their Cavapoo has the perfect amount of energy allowing both the doggo and the humans to enjoy daily exercise and daily snuggles! Some added fun of the Cavapoo breed comes from their higher level of smarts! They love mental stimulation like trick and obedience training, enrichment toys, and games - both inside and outside their home!
  • Are Cavapoos good watch dogs?
In a single word “NO”. Cavapoos are companions who simply love all. A Cavapoo would serve better as a tour guide, then a watchdog, if a burglar was to enter your residence.
  • Do Cavapoos adapt well to many living situations?
The Cavapoo’s smaller size and quiet demeanor make them adaptable to a variety of living situations. It is the owner’s attention and socialization that play the biggest role in Cavapoos adapting. I have Cavapoos in all living situations, from high-rise apartments to farm settings to large square-foot homes with well-manicured backyards. Each of these clients reports back with excellent remarks!
  • Are Cavapoos picky eaters?
The Cavapoo is a hearty eater who will eat whatever you put in front of them. With that said, it is common for the Cavapoo to fast from eating for an entire day throughout their life. They do this naturally, it is believed to come from their poodle side and it helps to keep them lean and healthy. As long as your Cavapoo is drinking water, using the restroom, and exhibiting the same personality you have come to know and love - You have no worries!
  • Are Cavapoos good outdoor dogs?
Cavapoos are not outdoor dogs. They love being outside with the family for playtime, but they are too small for extreme temperatures and may need pet protection garments if outside for extended periods. Best rule of thumb…when you go in, they go in or their health will suffer.
  • Are Cavapoos easy to train?
Yes, the Poodle, which is half the Cavapoo, is considered the second most intelligent breed, after the Border Collie. Combine that with the Cavalier King Charles who has a strong desire to please and you get a dog which is very easy to train. However, Cavapoos don’t react well to harsh voices, harsh training methods and disharmony. They respond best to positive reinforcement. A calm, soft response to any misbehaviors will get you the results sooner than harsh or extreme reactions.
  • Can Cavapoos swim?
Yes, Cavapoos swim naturally and can learn to be strong swimmers, however, some cavapoos would prefer floaties if given the choice.
  • How much is the puppy purchase fee?
Just about all Conner Creek Cavapoos are priced at $3,200. While uncommon, some Cavapoos may be priced higher depending on their markings and size. I require a $300 non-refundable deposit to purchase an available cavapoo. Your $300 deposit goes toward the full amount of the Conner Creek Cavapoo you have fallen in love with.
  • How do I get on the waitlist?
I do not hold a waitlist at Conner Creek Cavapoos. My puppies are sold on a first-to-purchase basis. You may join the notification list to receive emails when future Conner Creek Cavapoos become available.
  • How do I select my puppy?
The Conner Creek Cavapoos currently listed on the available cavapoos page are available. You may tap on the puppy that interests you most to view photos, videos, and details regarding that specific puppy. When ready, tap "Purchase Now," fill out the deposit form, and complete your deposit payment. Your deposit guarantees that the puppy is yours.
  • What if I don’t live in Nashville? Can I drive to Nashville to pick up my puppy?
Yes! Once you have purchased your puppy, you may drive or fly to Nashville to pick up your new puppy. You are welcome to come to my home to pick up your puppy, or I will gladly meet you at the Nashville airport, so no rental or Uber fee will be needed.
  • Can I have my new puppy transported to me by a commercial airline?
Yes! Conner Creek has transported puppies from coast to coast with experienced Flight Nannies who work exclusively for Conner Creek Cavapoos. I only use experienced Nannies who carry your puppy with them throughout the entire transport! This includes on and off the plane. The nanny that leaves Nashville with your baby is the same nanny you will meet at your chosen large airport! Via group messaging, we will be able to reach out to the nanny throughout the entire transport process. The Flight Nanny service is an added expense of $700 for the East coast and $1000 for the West Coast. While I do my best to keep the transport fees as listed, understand the airline industry, fuel prices, seasons, and desired take-home time may make for a slightly higher service fee. I work with each and every client, offering more than one option, with differing prices, delivery dates, and nannies to ensure a price that is acceptable to each and every client. The goal is to meet the price that is stated for East and West Coast deliveries. Please, take a look at the Transport Nannies page to learn about each Conner Creek nanny and read about the flight nanny process.
  • What vaccines are provided to my puppy before I adopt?
Your puppy will arrive with all age-related core puppy vaccinations completed along with supporting documents. These vaccines include Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough).
  • Will my puppy be health checked by a veterinarian prior to my taking him/her to their forever home?
Yes, all Conner Creek Cavapoos are given a comprehensive exam, heart check, age-appropriate core puppy vaccines, and deworming by a Board-Certified Canine Specialist and documented on a Conner Creek Health Certificate. Conner Creek Cavapoos will only see Board Certified Canine Specialists as their training and level of care is continuously tested and certified to ensure a higher level of experience and care is provided. Conner Creek has only used Board Certified Canine Specialists for more than two decades spanning 8 generations of happy and healthy doggos!
  • Do you provide any health guarantee?
Yes, you are allowed 72 hours after you receive your puppy to bring your puppy to your own veterinarian for a full examination. If any congenital heath defects are detected, Conner Creek's Board-Certified Specialist will review the reports from your veterinarian, and if agreed upon, you will have the option of returning the puppy for a full refund of the purchase price. In addition, Conner Creek offers a three (3) year heart guarantee for early-onset Mitral Valve Disease (MVD). This guarantee is written in the Conner Creek puppy agreement.
  • Do you grant breeding rights?
No, all Conner Creek Cavapoos are sold as loving, adoring companion members of the family with a spay/neuter agreement.
  • Should I get pet insurance?
Regular veterinarian preventive health care and regular checkups, which allow for early diagnosis and intervention are your best insurance. Enrolling in health insurance for your dog from puppyhood ensures that decisions about health care are easier to make, letting you focus on your dog’s health needs instead of the cost of vet care. I highly suggest Trupanion Insurance for the life of your furry family member. They offer one month free if you purchase your puppy from Conner Creek Cavapoos.
  • What is a Cavapoo?
Cavapoos are a hybrid breed of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. They have become a very popular and in-demand companion dog. They are known for their outgoing, loving, affectionate, and friendly nature for both families and seniors. Cavapoos are agile and have playful personalities, resulting in becoming one of the world's most adored pets.
  • What is the lifespan of a Cavapoo?
Cavapoos have an average life expectancy of 10 to 15 years. Cavapoos are known to have hybrid vigor, which develops when you breed two unrelated purebred breeds that don’t share common health issues. The cross-breeding gives their offspring vibrant health benefits that allow them to enjoy long lifespans. In addition, Conner Creek’s breeding line goes back over two decades in the Drago family, using selective breeding to discourage the opportunity for related hereditary diseases.
  • What is the average size of a Cavapoo when fully grown?
“Love grows where our puppy goes,” and that is forever. However, a Cavapoo's physical growth is determined by their parents. They can take after either side of their parents. Regardless, you will always get a sweet, intelligent, family dog, good with children and other animals, to love and cuddle. The average size and weight for Cavapoos range from 9 to 14 inches tall and between 8-22 lbs (depending on genetics and how they are fed and exercised).
  • What coat colors do Cavapoos possess?
The colors of the parents determine the colors of the puppies. Cavapoos come in a variety of colors of which most are a blend of white and a dominant color. The most common colors are apricot, tan, cream, gold, white, tricolor, black and chestnut.
  • Are Cavapoos Hypoallergenic?
Cavapoos have hypoallergenic qualities when compared to many other breeds. This means that they are less likely to cause an allergic reaction in people who suffer from pet allergies. Cavapoos come from the Cavalier, a single-coat dog breed, and the Poodle, a hypoallergenic dog breed. On a sliding scale, with their single-coat parent on one side and their hypoallergenic parent on the other, they will generally be in the middle or more towards the poodle parent on the scale. This results in very little shedding. Cavapoos are not a breed that will result in fur bunnies behind the furniture!
